Lockbody Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 I'm running a few NOS pres in my DC-5 (a couple of JAN Phillips 12ax7s and a 12at7, a GE 5751), and I'd like to experiment with some others. I have a decidedly workingman's budget and taste so I could be interested in some lightly used pre's that you might have tried and didn't like, etc... Anything that's "brighter" and can stand up to high-gain is a plus, but I'm open to all offers. I'd love to hear some NOS 6L6s, but I'm not going to hold my breath trying to find some I could afford that would work with Boogie. Let me take a quick inventory and post specifically what is available; what are your specific needs. Looking for some tasty in the tone slots, generally V1-V3, or, something balanced for the phase inverter to power the output valves? Please advise... kilroy
