QC Smitty Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Unexpected sense of urgency now to move my newly aquired Candy Apple Red 1995 Daytona of which I just posted pics. I am also selling my 1994 T-51 as well as my SICK 1987 G&L Skyhawk. Below I have posted links to my Facebook photo albums respectively.******* SOLD ****** Daytona - 1995 CAR with Ebony Board and Quarter Sawn Neck (approx 9 lbs). As I've stated on the messsage board, the only issues to point out are the string grooves at the first three strings to the 11th fret. It will need a fret dressing and appears to have never had one. Also the tarnishing or hazing of the chrome on the neck plate as shown. Otherwise it is in EC+ with no cracks, chips or repairs. Case appears to be the OHSC.This is the link:JUST ADDED TO PHOTOBUCKET: http://s856.photobucket.com/albums/ab129/Q...0Daytona%20CAR/ ********** THIS T-51 IS NOW ON EBAY WHERE IT WILL REMAIN UNTIL SOLD FOR THE AUCTION AMOUNT ***********auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...=STRK:MESELX:IT T-51 - 1994 Ash/maple. Gorgeous straight grained ash (northern) weighs exactly 9 lbs. and plays like a dream. Really sounds great. Near mint and all original except that he original pickguard (not offered) was replaced with a black one that was altered a bit. SEE PICS. This is as clean a guitar as you will ever find used and I 've sold over 130 used guitars on eBay. I've had this a year or so. This guitar is what turned me on to Hamer quality and playability. Awesome axe. OHSC with all kinds of extra Wilkinson bridge parts, wrenches & blank warranty card.- Michael
Hgb5000 Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 I have met Mike before, turns out we both grew up in the same general part of Charlotte, NC. He was a super nice guy. I got to see and briefly play this T-51 and it was a beautiful guitar. I think his pictures and description are very accurate. The action was great and I loved how the guitar played. It was very easy to bend strings and the intonation seemed just fine. The neck was very comfortable. I was able to play just briefly through a small amp and the guitar sounded great. The bridge pickup was nice and bright but did not seem to have the "ice pick" syndrome. As with most Hamer guitars the tone control was very useful in a range of positions. I would buy this guitar in a minute if I had not just bought another Daytona and allocated money for new pickups in another guitar.

BTW, my buddy got there in about ten minutes to jump me . -Michael

GaryT Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Mike what did you weight them on? Strikes me as odd both the Daytona and the T-51 are both 9lbs? Not a bad thing, Just Sayin.
QC Smitty Posted August 9, 2009 Author Posted August 9, 2009 Mike what did you weight them on? Strikes me as odd both the Daytona and the T-51 are both 9lbs? Not a bad thing, Just Sayin.Howdy. Used a digital bathroom scale. The Daytona I had to weigh by the weighing myself and then me with the guitar. The T-51 I could (because of the flat edges) sit right on the scale. It displayed 9.0 lbs. This afternoon, I will post the T-51 pics in my Photobucket site.
cmatthes Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 I'm still kicking myself for not snagging that Daytona when it was on eBay last month!! Snooze ya lose, I guess - that's a nice one. Really pretty maple there. (BTW - that's a '95, not a '97 Daytona.)

Really pretty maple there. (BTW - that's a '95, not a '97 Daytona.) Oooops. I made the correction on the date. Thanks. Regarding the Bay listing: it popped up at about 11:30pm with no Buy It Now so you couldn't "snag" it, exactly. I contacted the buyer who happened to still be on line at the time and made an offer. He ended the auction early for me. That's how I got it. I am relatively new to Hamers but knew enough to see that this was special as I had never seen a review of one with an ebony board. The quarter sawn neck and CAR body made this a no-brainer.
JasperNL Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Is the T-51 still for sale? I am looking for one. PLease let me know the condition, great if you could post some detailed pics?
