atquinn Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 These are great little practice-anywhere tools, but I've been spending most of my guitar-playing time parked in front of my PC, which I can plug my Boss GT-6 into and use metronome software on. Consequently, I find myself not needing this. You'll be getting the PX4 (which is in fine shape, but has a couple strips of velcro on the back), the manual and the (truly horrible, but free, so I guess you get what you pay for) IR headphones. If you don't know much about these, go here for info.If you're scared of dealing with me, check me out on eBay; my handle is "Quinley".Feel free to haggle with me/offer trades if you'd like. Finally, if you'd like to contact me, please shoot me an email at atquinn1975@yahoo.comThanks.-Austin
LarryC Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 $130 for a PX-4 is a great deal! I am sorry I am just now finding this forum, a few months ago I would have been all over this one! One of my co-workers has the PXR-4 (which allows you to create demos on it) and that was my first exposure to the Pandora. I was privvy to "borrow" it from him for a few weeks and did some recording with it on my PC. The PX-4 has a greater variety of sound options (including amp modeling) over the PXR-4 and normally list at about $199. Another of my co-workers purchased one when he bought a new Strat and they sold him his for $159 because he bought the Strat to go with it...lol.When I finally got around to getting my own I opted for the Korg AX1500G because of the foot controls and expression pedal. At this particular time it is still bigger than I am but I'm slowly gaining on it. I was out of playing electric music for about 30 years and have recently gotten back into it. In many respects things have really evolved since 1975, so I think I will be playing catch-up football for a while to come.
