I'm going to soon be re-wiring a Yamaha SBG250. The guitar currently has PC-board mounted pots and plastic jacks and switches. I'm sure everything is gonna be metric sized. I am thinking about buying the short-shafted Les Paul wiring kit from Stewart-MacDonald. It's pretty inexpensive and uses metric pots. Would this kit be okay or should I go ahead and step up to a CTS/Switchcraft kit which would require enlarging the mounting holes and getting new knobs?
Consider that this is not my number one guitar and I don't want to sink much money into this project. I'm getting new pickups installed in my PRS and I'm going to use the PRS pups in this guitar. They will be an upgrade over the current Korean pickups.
