JohnnyB Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 eBay has a Hamer Slammer Series bass for sale here. He has a reserve, but notice how low the opening bid is. I've found that the import Hamers that have Hamer in large letters with "Slammer Series" underneath are superb at their original asking price and have the worst resale value, clouded by the crude "Slammer by Hamer" series that followed, confusing the market. Hamer Slammer Series, when they show up, are often offered at giveaway prices. The lister won't ship, so that limits potential buyers to the Indianapolis area. His brief listing has either a typo or an error; this is a mid-'90s model. Hamer didn't offer any imports in the mid-'80s.

So this thing finally sold Thursday here. That was crazy cheap for a bass that good. In fact, I wish I'd followed it more closely as I could use a P-bass. Anybody here get it?
tomteriffic Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Dang, I'd have grabbed it for twice that. And I'm cruising through Indy next week.
