RoyB Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 I am selling my personal SWR 550X bass head. I bought this from Musician's Friend a little less than a year ago for my home studio for $1099. I used it one time and found that for my needs my old Ampeg SB15 amp just recorded better, so back in the box it went. It sounds very good and it's very loud, but I just don't need 550 watts anymore. As you can see it still has the hangtag, foot switch still in the box (and bag) and all the packing and plastic is still in the original SWR box. I'm cleaning out the closet and thought it's time to find it a good home. This thing is MINT, MINT and still smells new. You can throw one of those in. Would that SWR kill my GB LS112 cab? At 550 watts it's hard on cabinets unless they are really built or have a bunch of speakers, so I'd guess it would kill a 112.

RoyB Posted January 9, 2010 Author Posted January 9, 2010 I can't believe there is no interest in this amp. It's an $1100 amp and if you bought on in GC brand new I know it would not be any newer than this thing. It's mint and has had less than two hours of use on it.
