Hey guys, i recently moght my very first hamer, a checkerboard special, that is real nice. Ive had it 2 weeks and have not put it down..

Love it so much, i have placed a deposit for another one, to come soon, a 91' Sunburst that is minty mint.

Funny thing happened today, i have some auctions uploaded last night fro junk really, pickups and pedals, stuff thats been collecting dust. well i had a guy snatch up some mesa tubes i had listed.

In talking with him thru the day, was home all day.. we discovered we both had a guitar or 2 to sell.

I let slip i had a PRS singlecut to sell soon, he has 2 of them. Then he mentioned he had an old 91' sunburst he could part with, and a US G&L asat in trans red, mmmm

Well as a new Hamer man, i thought cool, as an old G&L lover, i thought, sounding better...

So deal is as stands my PRS for the Hamer and asat.

The Hamer is a 91' sunburst in a kind of honey colour. No burst. very nice open leaf flame.

Serial is 129188.

Now the bad part ( for me) it has a trem on it. Its is gold and has Hamer cast in it. Looks like a floyd style.

I love tremolo, not sure about a floyd style tho. The guitar has gold tuners as well.

Looks pretty cool tho. And i reckon worth the trade.

Just want to find a little info on this model. is it worth much?

Cheers

That looks like a really clean example. I'd say you could sell it for $1100 immediately and for more if you weren't in a rush (I think I sold mine for around $1300 this past year).

I guess as someone whos not owned this style of trem before, but use trem a lot and love it, what they are like to live with?

Look complicated, but once set, are they easy to use?

Not a big dive bomber, but love subtle use of trem. Really like the G&L dual dulcrum to use.

I think im doing this deal anyways, just like some feedback on the guitar.

The other new to me Hamer i have on its way is a mint quilt top Sunburst from 91'.

This will give me 2 x 91's , one with trem, one without. Could be cool!

Hey Azatplayer,

Sorry about hi-jacking this thread but it's an emergency........

Austin will know- I'm serious here- if you can't handle the Floyd- I'm your man.....I'll easily buy that one from you right now- I have a '91 Floyd Sunburst and that would be the perfect sister for it! I'm currently looking at selling my '91 stoptail Sunburst and always looking for another floyded C&B sunburst!

At the moment, they'd probably sell for around $1K- I bought mine for £550 over here in the UK- so probably about $800. I'd pay the $1100 plus shipping that Austin suggested though....

Seriously- let me know...

Cheers, Dave :D

As an aside, what colour is this known as?

I believe this would have been marketed is 'Aztec Gold'. it's a pretty tasty colour for that guitar and it's appointments.

I really like that m8! I could easily talk myself into going for a blue one myself!

Cheers,

Ben
