harry65 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 hey guys, happy new year to ya all , lookin for some p90's for my 93 studio , phat cats would be great, don't want anything too overwound, lookin for spank , be cool.......................
Brooks Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 how'd the gfs sound in your studio?at one point i had 2 dutones a few serial #'s apart,1 w/ a phatcat, 1 w/ a gfs (can't remember if it was a "dream 90" or "mean 90").the gfs had less lows in it (not a bad thing for a neck pup).acording to gfs, the dream 90 is hotter, while the mean 90 is smoother(seems like they got the names backwards).

(BCR Greg carries them.)http://www.riograndepickups.com/scart/Prod...tName=For+P-90sthanks, kinda timid about rio's , threw a set in a t51 i had and didn't like them, they were too muddy and had no twang , now in retrospect they were a little more overwound than some of their others so i might have just installed the wrong set for my needs.....................the muy grande set now that i think about it
