Talladega price question...

Will I get the 8% cash back? It seems like the rules suggest that you get back what they decide to give you, but I haven't done the Bing thing through eBay before? Thanks for the input.

Yep. I already have my Talladega, but I was watching to see how that auction turned out.

For cashback to work there are a couple of things:

- You must get to ebay via Bing. I go to Bing.com and type in something obvious, like Gibson Les Paul. Then select the link to ebay. Once in ebay type Hamer Talladega in the search pane

- You must have cookies enabled on your computer, otherwise no cashback. I made the mistake of using an old laptop that didn't have cookies enabled and lost the $$

- You must use Buy It Now

- You must pay with PayPal

I bought a guitar about a year ago when the cashback was 15%, and just recently some holiday gifts. It works. However, you should look for the gold "coin" in ebay, next to the item. Then when you select the Buy It Now option, but before you commit, you should see a banner on the top of the page stating something like "this purchase qualifies for 8% cash back."

Note that you do not get the cash back immediately - they even tell you it can take 30 - 60 days

Pretty good price. Not great. I ended up buying mine new for under $2k. On this board there was a custom tobacco burst with frets over binding for just around $2 k - that was one where I was gnashing my teeth wishing I had a job. Timing is everything.
