90' Sunburst, finish, poly or nitro?

I have a couple of 90' sunbursts and am wondering what would be factory finish on these old girls.

I use paint for a living and they sure feel pretty hard to me, have a poly feel to them, much like my PRS does.

Both are in top condition too which leads me to think that theyre not nitro, but i seem to recall reading somewhere that Hamer only use nitro or some kind of single pack lacquer?

Would appreciate some expert advice here, more for care and curiosity than anything.

Cheers Don

I think they changed over in the early '90s (by '92 or so?).

Stike actually knows the deal on this better than I do.

By all accounts nitro until 91-92ish, I have a 92 that is not lacquer. After that it has been stated they used Urelac or an "acetate based lacquer". According to a former coworker who was a Hamer vet. and some other Hamer staffers I talked to it's a CAB urethane.

Sorry i realised they are both 91' models.

So, could well be the later cab urethane. that would make sense to me.

Thanks for the info.
