andrew m Posted May 21, 2010 Author Posted May 21, 2010 How much is that in real money?Oh wait, the dolla isn't real money anymore...Up until about 2 weeks ago we had real money. I beleive it would work out to about 460.00US. according to today exchange rate.
cmatthes Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 I don't believe that bass SOLD for that much new. When I was checking out AC/EL basses a few years back, that one LISTED for $999 and $1,099, depending on which version. They were actually selling (NEW, from dealers) in the upper $500 - $750 range. I don't think the CDN$ was trading at 1/2 of the US$ any time in recent memory, was it?It was comparable, or even a bit better than other basses in that range. I opted for the Takamine bass. Acoustically, it isn't a very functional instrument, and will never keep up with a regular acoustic most of the time. Plugged in, it should do fine.

I guess this is a case of a fellow CDN trying to hose me. We (sort of) always had a weaker dollar to yours , but never half.Mucho thanks ( as always)
