nut width?

I am anxiously awaiting a new to me 84 scarab with a kahler trem. I would really love to replace the nut with a chrome one.

I need to know the nut width however. Any help would be appreciated.

My Scarab II's nut is 1 5/8". You are pairing a chrome Kahler nut with a black trem? I guess you mean to replace the actual black trem with chrome eventually? Hopefully, your 1984 is the same as my 1985.

no, im not pairing it with a chrome trem. However, when it has been modded to my preferences, it will look oowahsum!!!! no doubt!!

i got a plan man...............what kinda guitter do you think i am? No hacks here. although if it doesnt look the way i have envisioned.........it will be returned to normal and no one will see the undesired result and we'll just pretend it never happened...it never happened...it never happened...it never happened (thats supposed to be a dream like echo)

BTW thanks for the measurement. gonna get that comin now. incidentally, do you have a period correct kahler in chrome, you know, just in case
