hamersandstrats Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 Music Man Sixty Five 115. One of the original MM amps with the 12AX7 phase inverter. 65 watts switchabke to 35. Sounds great and SUPER clean. Original 15" Alnico Speaker (huge magnet). Original footswitch. Looking for $500 or will consider trade for hamer w/ p-90s, strat or tele style guitar, or Tech 21 TM60 amp. This amp dates to about '74. I have never seen another one. This is the "sixty-five" series, not the HD or RD. Most came in 1x12 or 2x10. PM me. Pics coming.
tomteriffic Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 Oooh, man, that is SOOO tempting. I've got the 2 x 10 and this would be a perfect complement. The 1 x 15 sounds great for jazzbox, pedal steel, and, back when these were the new thing, I used one for almost a year, 4 nights a week, as an amp for a Fender Rhodes.Pix?
hamersandstrats Posted August 27, 2005 Author Posted August 27, 2005 Pix coming later this evening. But to hold you over, picture a brand new Music Man with a tiny "stretch" in the grill cloth about 1" long right below the treble knob-with just a little bit of dust on the cab in the back. Other than that she looks mint.
Jimbilly Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 This link may be informative to prospective purchasers:http://www.pacair.com/mmamps/Misc__Info/Mo...odel_chart.htmlI've got one of the 412-gs cabs, some of the MM stuff is cool, including that Alnico speaker.
hamersandstrats Posted August 28, 2005 Author Posted August 28, 2005 OK Gentlemen, here are the pics: And here's one of the insides:
specialized2 Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 I'm in no need of this kinda thing.... but at this condition and apparent coolness, the value and practicality can only go up. Someone with the money... buy it!
hamersandstrats Posted August 30, 2005 Author Posted August 30, 2005 Here's a clip of the amp that I just recorded over at the LPF:http://streamer.soundclick.com/speedY/06/0...tb+zeprules.mp3Trades? Anyone? P90 special? Japanese fender reissue? Inquire...
Bigred Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 I have two of these exact MM amps and have been using them for pedalsteel/guitars since 1978....absolutely Fabulous TONE and TOTAL reliability.....
Bigred Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 According to the tranny codes, this amp was made in late '76......a TERRIFIC AMP!!!
