OK, I have an Epi LP that co-worker wanted me to change out the 3way for him. It has a sealed 3way in it that is unlike the standard 3ways that i've seen. I went by the local shop and they did not have one like it so I bought a standard 3way like is in most hamers. After installing the switch it doesn't work alot of buzzing like its not grounded and little to no volume from the pickups. I've checked all my connections and didn't get anywhere. Stupid me I didn't plug the guitar in before I started and someone has been in it before me from the looks of the mismatched pots and tape. I know at least it had signal because I tuned it.
Do I have to used that exact switch or did I just F-up some where?
