Floyd Rose with bridge height adjustment

Victor (Fret Friend)

Question

Posted

I know some of the older-type FR licensed bridges had height adjusters. I kinda need one for my Aria Pro II as the neck has quite a curve to it yet the Kramer FR I fitted is a flat bridge type. As I like a low action, I wondered if it was possible to get an FR with saddle height adjusters (D & G strings are pretty close to the f/board)...

No such thing, you shim each individual saddle - search ebay.

That's what I thought. Older (crapper) copies had 2 small saddle screws where you could adjust the height of each saddle. Weren't much cop tho...

I think you may be thinking of Kahler perhaps where you could rasie or lower each saddle. Anyway, shims are less than a tenner including postage and almost half that from some, a bit fiddly but cheaper than a new trem.

Nah, I deffo have old BC Rich's & Aria's with adjustable bridge-saddles on FR-types. I just sold a Warlock with same. Anyway, fug that...

What would I search for on eBay? Tried ' trem*shim ', ' tremolo shim ' etc

Thanks for your time btw...
