The Hamer of Airbrushes?

Years ago, like more than 30, I saved my allowance for months and bought a really good dual-action air brush - it was around $85 - $90, and this would have been around 1978-ish. The deal was if I saved and purchased that air brush, my dad said he would buy a compressor. Well, I did but he didn't get around to his part, so the air brush sat languishing in the case for many years and was eventually tossed out.

So now I'm in the middle of customizing a bicycle for my son and some airbrushed graphics would be huge fun. I'd like to get an airbrush but as with everything, it's gotten way more complicated since 1978. I have a compressor (!) and just need an airbrush (and maybe a dryer).

I liked the dual action airbrush I had, but I don't want to necessarily spend an inflation-adjusted $85. Any suggestions on where to start?

I do very little airbrushing and use a cheap one from Harbor Freight when I do. There are many times however when I wish I had a gravity feed, all my big guns are.

I did find this short primer helpful: How to Choose an Airbrush

I like the gravity-fed brushes, but I'm concerned with the time it will take to switch between colors. I'm thinking I'll go with one of the siphon-fed varieties.
