Pickup recs ? tele custom.. Lollar and rio grande q's

So, I am finally at work building another CK guitar for representation of my line as my repair customers have complained that I have nothing in stock to show them.
I've sort of landed on a Tele Custom theme this time around , & I'm wanting to steer clear of the same ole same ole Seymour,Dimarzio whatever...

I am toying with a Lollar Regal [Fender wide Range] in the neck , That or a P90 or mini hum of some kind. [Please discuss]


I am considering using Rio Grande's, asthere always seems to be chatter here about those pickups, so I felt this a good place to ask as we appear to have a good Robin following. [More discussion please]

I had even considered doing this up as an Esquire , then began to consider wiring it Esquire with the eldred mod 3 way slide along with the neck pickup and the typical T-custom 3 way toggle for more variation still.


Any ideas or weird twists appreciated.

My absolute favorite combo is a Harmonic Design Z90 in the neck position with a splitable humbucker in the bridge. A Rio Muy Grande works perfectly and you can get both pickups in pearloid or tortoise shell.

This setup gives you a ton of flexibility and lets future owners swap out pickups easily because of the standard humbucker routs in both positions.
