SD P90 identification

Tres Aardvarks

Question

Posted

I've got a pair of P90s I bought years ago for a project that went away. I'm looking to sell them off, but One of the pups has lost it's identification sticker. The marked one is a 1N, and I figured I'd have bought a set. However, the unmarked one registers at 12k(compared to the ~8k of the 1n. So, is there any way to identify this beast? Maybe compare the magnets under the cover?

It's a pretty safe bet that that would be a 2, either n or b. I just pulled a couple of 2's and they measured 11.7 K give or take a smidge. A 3 I pulled was about 14.6K.

With those P-90's putting one number in the neck and putting the next number higher in the bridge seems to work well.. That's what I've found in my P-90 Hamers straight from the factory.
