HAMERMAN Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Does anybody have a schematic for the "good" one they could post?
Jorge Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 Well, this thread gave me GAS, as usual, so I just bought this.I hope it being made in the USA, not in Japan, does not mean I just screwed up?http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...MEAFB%3AIT&rd=1
hudpucker Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 'BK Butler' Chandler Tube Drivers the fist one (far left) looks interesting.... that may have been one of the "transitional" units..... not sure it's a BK though..... the silkscreen on case is different and the transformer is center mounted.... if you were to send me a pic of the inside I could tell you for sure... I've always thought of this one as being a 'transitional' unit before the production really ramped up on the 'classic' BK/Chandler 'lamp cord' tube drivers.

One of my favorite dirt pedals ever... Get out your stash of NOS American Tubes and have fun! ... if it still has the original tube you should be good to go...

Whoa..... interesting.... the PCB and components look correct .... know the year of that one?
HAMERMAN Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I sure hope this is after you removed some heat shrink from the AC wires!

Whoa..... interesting.... the PCB and components look correct .... know the year of that one? Everything about it looks correct (well, except for the lack of shrink tubing on the AC wires) and I think it's an 83 or 84. I believe the ones with the side mounted jacks (like this) pre-date the production models that most are familiar with.
