Excellent-plus-plus condition, I think I stepped on it four times. Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive. Excellent-plus-plus condition, I think I stepped on it like eight or nine times. Purchase includes original box, original manual, Boss box candy (aka stupid catalogs and instructions not to submerge it in beer, in seven or eight languages) and even the little clear plastic baggy they wrapped the pedal in inside the box. $35 shipped in the CONUS. anotherfreak2 Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 can you tell me about the voodoo lab jobber?
Jeff R Posted November 26, 2005 Author Posted November 26, 2005 It's an accurate repro of a Tychobrahe(sp?) Octavia. Creates a ghostly harmonic-like octave up and fuzz that's extremely touch sensitive. Hendrix used this type of effect in the solo for "Purple Haze" and it's prominent in the fills in "Blue on Black" by Kenny Wayne Sheppard. It's a tricky pedal at first - you'll think it's broken the first time you kick it on - but once you learn how to play the Proctavia, it's a very cool gadget to pop in here and there. I will supply a little Proctavia 101 tutorial for the buyer.
