edgar_allan_poe Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Hi guys…I have an interesting guitar up for sale. This is a pre-1990 Anderson Strat with a strathead headstock. Here is the skinny on the guitar… Mahogany body with a highly flamed maple cap. The color is kind of a burnt orange...very cool. The pics are actually a very good representation of the color. The neck is an insane birdseye/flame figuring with an amber tint. The neck is one piece, there is no seperate fretboard. It has Schaller locking tuners and Dunlop straplocks, and a vintage trem. The hardware is all gold. Pickups are Lace Sensors, obviously not original but they sound really good. I am not a fan of the Anderson pickups. Condition is very solid for a 15 year+ old guitar it has a couple of very minor dents on the front, but nothing that can be seen unless you are close up and looking on an angle. They are right behind the bridge and about 1mm in diameter and 3mm long. I simply cannot get them to photograph, they are too small. The back has a small chip by the trem cavity..what looks like missing finish on the trem cavity in the pic of the back is actually just glare. The chip is about half the size of my pinky fingernail. Frets are jumbos and are in excellent+ shape. I was told by Tom Anderson that none of his necks with a strathead have the Anderson logo. This guitar is a pre-production Anderson so there is no serial number. $800 shipped...you would pay more than that for a Warmouth, and no offense to the Warmouth fans, this thing is way beyond anything I have ever played from Warmouth. Sorry, no trades at this time unless it involves cash as well as an item. I still need studio gear of all kinds including mics and effects processors. edgarallanpoe@verizon.net
black magic Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 That was well worth the money, and should be worth a bundle to Anderson collectors with that headstock. Congrats POE-Jack.
