specification for truss rod cover screws?

Question

Hello to everybody in the forum, greetings from Seoul.

I think it is time to replace my truss rod cover screws for my two T-62s, which have not-an-original truss rod cover screws. But I can't find something close to original screws in the stew-mac or allparts, all they sell are just gold or chrome finished and round headed.

My question is :

1. What is the specification for screws for truss rod cover?

I guess it is #2 *1/4" flat headed, black finished but that is just my guess.

Can anybody give me specification for truss rod cover screws?

Maybe I can buy one in the Ebay or Amazon, where I can buy outside US.

Sorry for my not-that-good English,

and Thank you in advance,

Hyunjong

Hyunjong, your English is great!

Someone may have a better answer, but I've done fine using the Gibson-spec screws, #2 - 1/4" but with a round head.

Chrome or Black

velorush,

Thank yor for your kind words.

I think those gibson screws will do fine. It would be better with flat head, but round headed screws will do good, I think

Thank you again,

I was in this same situation a few years back. I found the right screws in a guitar shop in Akihabara (Tokyo), of all places. At the time I also lived in Seoul (Dogok-dong). They were the same screws that are used to attach the back plate.

Hope you had a great lunar new year!

actually just took a look at my Hamers - later ones have round heads, mid-80s were flathead. T-62s are more of a modern Hamer; I'd be comfortable using roundhead screws on those.
