Is it worth being a sponsor on TGP?

Mine ran out and just in time for me to sell some gear. I think I sold one guitar there over the years. How do you guys feel about selling gear there? I hear you guys complain about it there but I honestly don't visit often enough to get a feel for the place. I don't have 15 bucks to blow right now or how ever much it costs.

your better off setting up a reverb account

since most for sale items that are worth a damm

on TGP are referred to Reverb fwiw.

also, post over there with links of sales of in your signature area.

I second Murkat. I've listed 3 guitars on TGP in the past couple months or so and the 2 that sold both sold on Reverb.

Thanks guys. I set up on Reverb a few days ago with the Tak. Now I'm selling an amp and the JP7. Austin, when you say you sold them on Reverb and both Murkat and you say the links go to Reverb, then should I pay the sponsorship and link to Reverb? Or do you feel that just being on Reverb is good enough? I still feel like ebay is quicker and gets higher prices but the fees are also higher.

I never link to auctions; I always do them independent of forum for sale posting. So I would say no need to pony up for the TGP membership fee. If you can't sell them for the price you want on Reverb ( I never do auctions there), then you can revisit the idea of the TGP membership down the line.

No, no need to pay....

you see how you have a link~ "Life without Joel".

Or

how Austin has links~ " Currently in Austin's transient hands:"

Or

How I have my link?

you can do that under the radar with your sale of in links.
