bubs_42 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 I've heard of them but never used them. Guitar that I just bought has a full set of 61's in it, but more than likely they will come out for something noiseless that i've been wanting to try.
murkat Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 I think you may have to have a honeymoon period with those before you decide to yank them out... fwiw.
bubs_42 Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 Either way thing they are worth the little extra coin i'll have in the guitar. I ended up with the one I sent you a picture of.
hanspanzer Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 This little birdie is Kleinified. Sings just as a birdie should.
bubs_42 Posted March 2, 2016 Author Posted March 2, 2016 Here is what is in it. 1961 Fender Spec Stratocaster Pickups, scatter wound with 42ga Heavy Formvar magnet wire, Alnico 5 Vintage staggered magnets, & black forbon. Great sounding clean, nice & warm with a full crunchy distorted tone. Touch sensitive you can feel the individual notes melt off the strings on these 61's. This is a medium output set. Wax potted to avoid unwanted microphonics.
Roshark Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Beautiful Firebird Hanspanzer . For the last 2 months I have been trying out a set of Klein '59 strat pick ups . I have been very happy with them and have no plans to yank them . Their is some magic in these pickups . They have a warm straty tone with great toutch sensitivity . This set is really fun to play . I say give them a shot it wont cost you anything .
Roshark Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I should have added that they are extremely quite for single coils . Even with a good amount of gain and standing right by the amp .
