killertone Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I have a 1984 all original Marshall JCM800 2205 for sale. It is in excellent condition for a 22 year old amp. Just a couple of minor small tears in the tolex. This thing is LOUD and hangs with my 100 watt Marshalls with ease. It currently has GE 6550's (rebranded by Groove Tubes, but they are GE's) in it which by themselves sell for around $175/duet. Drake transformers throughout. This is one of the cleanest looking 2205's I have ever had. And the tone is killer!! Comes with footswitch. $850 plus shipping.
MCChris Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Total guitar nerd question: horizontal or vertical inputs?
killertone Posted January 13, 2006 Author Posted January 13, 2006 Total guitar nerd question: horizontal or vertical inputs? Good, cuz I am a Marshall nerd! 2205's are channel switchers. They only have 1 input.

Scottcrud Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Hey fellas, this is a smokin amp, it sounds great, one of the best sounding Marshalls I've heard, and I'm not a big Marshall fan.
MCChris Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 The other guitar player in my band was saying how he wants a JCM 800. I'll mention this to him tonight.
