Never had a problem until the speakers started to fall apart. Didnt want to change the sound so I bought the exact same speakers from GK.This amp shows it's age but works perfectly and sounds great too...How about $300 plus shipping...
Jimbilly Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 What did those speakers cost you from GK? They're a 6"?, I wonder if some of those $25 webbers would drop in there?
RCM78 Posted January 16, 2006 Author Posted January 16, 2006 I paid $80 for the speakers and they are 5".I'd guess the easiest way to use different speakers is with an EXT cab or two.One thing I really like about this amp is running a 2X12 on one side of the room with the onboard speakers on on the other side of the room. Fills the room with sound at very low volumes for practicing...
Jimbilly Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Those speakers have much larger magnets than one would expect from a 6" speaker. I was just playing my 250ml, -your fs post motivated me to try it out again. They actually sound pretty good, the chorus is a little dated, and don't expect a lot of low-end, other than that they're still very cool little amps.
