Guest babow2 Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I have one of the limited edition Hamer Fan Club Artist Korinas, with three P-90's. I love this guitar, and it had replaced my Studio Custom Goldtop. However, as we all know, sometimes, you have to give up something to get something. So, it has to find a new home. The Artist Korina model earned a Guitar Player Editor's Pick Award in a review from a year or two ago. I understand that Hamer built a limited run of these for the HFC with 3 P-90's. This is one of those, as indicated by the HFC imprinted with the serial number. The guitar is gorgeous. The tone is heavenly. Three P-90's provide a wide sonic palate, with the clarity and shimmer of single coils and the punch and power of humbuckers. The semi hollow Artist body and the Korina wood combine to make for huge tone. Stock Grover tuners and the original HSC complete the picture. Photos are available at http://groups.msn.com/brentbabow in a photo album called Hamer Artist Korina. Asking $950 plus shipping. I am not looking for trades at this time. Thanks for looking and cheers to all, Brent Babow 707-778-6151
Guest galejt Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Let me be the first to say "holydurngawdsheitmanohmanwhatanicepairplusone!"
serial Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Don't know if that's the one I used to own or not, but if so, it's a good one. Only reason that I let it go was that I had another (in opaque baby blue, just 'cause Poe loves that color) that I custom ordered when my son was born. There are either four or five of them that were done for the HFC run-the one that I had was the first and the one I still have was the last. They did a few 3 pickup ones for Willcutt later on.
Benster Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 i emailed the seller and was informed that the guitar is sold. man, wish i saw this sooner!
