Disturber Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 I have a copy of the latest solo album from Billy Bremner, former member of Rockpile, (famous on the HFC for playing those Dan Armstrong headstock Sunbursts). This album was recorded and released here in Sweden in 2005 and will be given away for free, shipping included, to the first HFC'er who gives me the correct answer to this quiz: Question: Billy played on several Pretenders albums and was almost a member of the band. Which songs, or at least how many songs, did he play on on the Pretenders album Learning to Crawl from 1983??
cmatthes Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 I know he did "Back on the Chain Gang" (one of my faves, and the best post-Jim H-Scott tune in my opinion)."My City Was Gone"?I'm trying to think of another right now, but he was a pretty distinct player - I loved the Rockpile-era stuff.

I'm trying to think of another right now, but he was a pretty distinct player - I loved the Rockpile-era stuff. You got the number of songs right. And two of the titles. Impressive! No one else? Then Mr Matthes is the winner. Send me a mail with your address through my profile and the CD will be in the post next week. Listening to right now: REM doing "Femme fatale" by the Velvets. What a killer song to kick of the weekend...
