gwayne Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 I never thought I'd move this one, but the Artist Custom I got from DavidE is getting all the play time so I'll post it here before eBay. Details: 1997 Studio Custom in Black Cherry burst. Unlike the current B-C burst, the black is just at the very edge of the body, coming in 1/4-1/2 inch. The color in this picture is a little washed out due to the camera's flash. The true color is very similar to PRS black cherry. Very nice grain with some wave to it - no BBQ grill here! Black back and neck. Neck p'up is a SD AlNiCo II Pro, bridge is a Pearly Gates. Neck is a classic mid 90's neck if you've played one from that era. It's a nice carve, beefier than the early 90's stuff, but not as large as the current Modern carve (if that's the larger carve). A few bumps and bruises, the worst being a small chip at the headstock and a bump down by the jack. I have pictures for interested parties. I'll rate it as a 8.5 / 10.0. Case is a generic SKB case. $900.00 plus actual shipping. May do a trade but it will have to be something really different from what I have. Would consider a Koa Mirage I, Standard, Newport, Duo-tone, maybe a Jr or T-62. Hell, if you've got something to trade let me know. May do a cool amp trade as well +/- cash as necessary. Some HFC'ers I've done large deals with include HHBill, JeffR, GaleJT, DavidE, BCR Greg. Admiral Ballsy, et al.
gwayne Posted March 11, 2006 Author Posted March 11, 2006 Additional pics. Again the red and black is washed out due to the flash.
Guest galejt Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 gwayne is a god among men! A real nice fella. Deal with confin..condifenc...don't worry be happy! I bought a Newport from him. Underpriced. Gorgeous. Met him in person. He is witness to the BBQ buffet miracle off I-95. Edited to add: I have been secretly lusting after this axe but I gave all my money to He whose name shall not be mentioned. Damn P.S. I have a great lead on some $7 champagne I will share if you IM me.

Travis Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 That is a sweet Studio you've got there. If I wasn't so emotionally attached to my Mirage I, I might be tempted. Good luck with the sale. I can't think it will last that long at that price.
