New Cheap Trick single

cheaptrick.com has three new songs for listening pleasure or displeasure.

loved mario's comments about not having a trick-luv-in-fest, but they're (cheap trick) are and have always been better players and composers than any random HFC poster, so they got that going for them.

my opinions:

1) welcome to the world...and, straight into the toilet with this one..a real soft stool;

2) perfect stranger...loved the 'compressed' mix and quite entertaining for ear-phones and this song stayed on the repeat all afternoon;

3) come on, come on....geez...rick lets attempt to deviate from either 'come on' or 'yeah, yeah' within a chorus...

any cheap trick is better then no cheap trick and much better than blondie or the new cars, etc...

kilroy posts...

and goes back to listening to a randon cheaptrick bootleg...from '83...next producer please...

I guess I kind of started something. For the record, I think Cheap Trick's first 3 studio albums and the live album are great! When Heaven Tonight came out, I learned pretty much every song on that album.

MARIO-

it's all good. i found your comments on-point and funny, because you're right about the bias towards that band.

by the way, love the keeley Tubescreamer i got from ya...it's essential for any stratocaster guitar player and a must for solo work...

Hey Kilroy, glad you still like the tubescreamer! Keeley makes great stuff and he is great to deal with!

As with most of life I take them a song at a time. Live these guys are working always. Love the Vintage Touring Hamer museum Rick drags around with him. He is the reason I loved Hamer before I owned one. I actually liked the last cd a lot. CT97 Is fantastic.

When you talk of the Boot cd are you speaking of the one from The Metro Hamerica? Music For Hangovers? There are several of the three night shows out on bootleg but I have not been able to get The full 4 night Metro shows from Chicago. The band sell MFH at the shows and is commercially available too IIRC.
