mightymole Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 For your consideration a 2010 Fender Custom shop in Fiesta Red. Really nice beefy neck. It was made as NOS however a previous owner put some wear and tear on it. The most noticeable is a ding on the lower part of the neck behind the 3rd fret and a couple of impressions along the skunk stripe. The bigger ding cannot actually be felt while playing due to it's location (at least how I play). The impressions along the skunk stripe can be felt but nothing terrible in my opinion. However if are a player that needs a totally smooth playing surface this may not be for you. The body has a little finish checking and some dings in multiple places. No real scratches or dings through the paint, except some chipping at the neck pocket. The neck on the treble side has some discoloration from playing with acidic hands I suppose. Fretboard is in decent shape with just a tiny impression or two. For as much as this guitar appears to have been played the frets are in great shape. Just a little wear in the first 4 frets but minimal. Sounds great, the player I bought it from has had it set up for slide so you will want to set up to taste. So there it is. A great strat with some natural play wear. Consider it natural relicing. I am selling primarily because as much as I want to be a big neck guy but my hands are just better suited to medium neck carves. Not thin though. I would sell for $2200 after fees and shipping. Or would perhaps trade for a Gibson or Prs or something else? Trade value in the $2500 area. Not really looking to add cash, but might take a guitar and cash from you.
mightymole Posted January 16, 2022 Author Posted January 16, 2022 It actually sold on another site. However while not currently a Hamer owner, I have owned a couple in the past and love this site. I frequent it often and was actually hoping for a nice Hamer to come up in trade for this strat. Hopefully soon another Hamer will come my way.
