SteveE9C6 Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Yep... the ultimate rack mount tube amp. This is in excellent condition with only a touch of rack rash. Unbelievable bottom end and headroom. It has lived it's entire life in a rack. The tubes have plenty of life left and sound glorious.I am selling because I am going in a different direction. No issues whatsoever.works perfectly.$900 plus shipping.I will sell it in it's shock mount flight case which has enough room to put it, an Evans preamp, power strip, and reverb unitfor $1000 plus shipping. This rack is about $600 new and will last forever.Paypal ok, add 3%Prefer USPS money order.
chunst Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 So, you want $900 for it, and for an additional $100, you'll thro in the rack, and the evan's? Or is it $1900 for the whole she-bang?
SteveE9C6 Posted March 28, 2006 Author Posted March 28, 2006 The evans and tc are not included.$900 VHT$1,0000 VHT in shock mount flight rack. This is my pedal steel setup. I've gone to a Stewart World 1.2 power amp. It doesn't sound as nice, but it only weighs 11 lbs. The VHT weighs 37 lbs.

Scottcrud Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Is the Stewert World 1.2 as loud as the VHT? Does it have as much headroom as the VHT?

SteveE9C6 Posted March 28, 2006 Author Posted March 28, 2006 Is the Stewert World 1.2 as loud as the VHT? Does it have as much headroom as the VHT? Apples to oranges.... You are comparing a 180 watt hand built, all tube power amp, with a 1200 watt solid state amp.The VHT is a tube lovers dream. It has more headroom than I've ever required.Loud? Of course. But I play in a band where everything is miked. Seven of us are on stage. We each have our own floor wedge (or two), with separate mixes from the monitor board. I don't play it incredibly loud. It is smooth, with a lush harmonic texture. The Stewart has absolutely massive power that is crystal clear. A much different sound to my ear.
killertone Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Steve,I emailed you long before you posted this...You sent me an email about an hour ago to which I replied immediately so I don't think you have been unable to contact me.
SteveE9C6 Posted March 31, 2006 Author Posted March 31, 2006 I'm sorry... I did not see your email prior to this post. I'm also sorry that your sale fell through. It would have been mucho easier to do this as we don't live very far apart. Oh yeah... Happy Birthday Jason! We have a son the same age as you who graduated from Aggieland.
SteveE9C6 Posted April 9, 2006 Author Posted April 9, 2006 This is still sitting in my music room. The best all tube power amp made. Handmade by inmates at VHT. You want tube power? This is actually two completely separate 90 watt tube power amps in a two space rack. Amps can be run in stereo or as discrette mono units. Each channel has individual controls, inputs, and outputs. The price is firm and fair.
