1996 Diablo II with OHSC

This Diablo II has a couple of custom features you won't be able to find on any other Diablo II I've ever seen. Specifically, it has an ebony fretboard and a satin-finished neck. The pickups are a Tone Zone in the bridge, an Air Norton in the neck and an unidentified Dimarzio singlecoil in the middle (I was too lazy to pull that one out and check it). The volume control is a push-pull pot to split the humbuckers. The guitar is in very good condition; a few scratches but nothing that breaks the finish and virtually no fretwear. I'm looking for $550 shipped.

Hamer 2004 Open House Special with OHSC SOLD PENDING PAYMENT!

O.k., this is going to hurt.

I won this guitar at the 2004 Hamer Fan Club Open House (which is the last open house they had for the HFC). As I understand, it was a prototype for the reintroduction of the Special line (that looks like it was inspired by a few dealers special orders of Juniors) but it looks like they decided to go with Korina Juniors instead. They've done a couple guitars similar to this one for Willcutt (here's one: http://www.willcuttguitars.com/details.asp?stock_id=5053), but all the ones I've seen are Korina; mine is mahogany. It's dead stock except for the engraved electronics cover plate, which an HFC member had made for some of us a few years back (unfortunately, I can't remember who it was). If you don't like the current cover, I can put on the one from my Studio, but I kind of dig the engraved one on the Special (the Studio already has enough bling :P). The guitar and case are in excellent condition (no dings or dents, virtually no fretwear).

This is a great guitar that I'm risking my wife's wrath by selling (strangely, this is only guitar of mine she's ever had any emotional attachment to whatsoever), but I've hardly given it a glance since my Studio arrived and he funds could be used elsewhere, so...

I'm not really sure what this is worth, since it's not a standard model, but I'm going to start out by asking for $1250 shipped. If that's insane, feel free to lowball me, but no trade offers please.

(I believe it's a Norton, but the sticker on it just said N1)

It actually says "NL", which stands for "Norton Lite", which is what the Air Norton was originally called. So, it's an Air Norton by today's terminology.

Thanks. I thought it was weird that it didn't have the usual DP### code on it, but I'm not exactly a guru when it comes to dimarzio pickups. Well, now I know what an Air Norton sounds like!

+1 on everything.

Oi. I hope some yahoo doesn't rout a humbucker in there...

Ya know, in 20 years this thing will probably surface and a handful of older HFC'ers will recognize it and be able to complete the history of this "unusual model" for some lucky tyro.

Pants getting tight! :)

You wouldn't happen to do layaways, would you?

Middle single coil should be a HS2...

Sort of. They called it "SH2", it's an HS2 without the bottom coil wound. Supposedly Eric Johnson used an HS2 for a while, but only connected the top coil.

The Special is sold to a good home pending payment.

Now who wants the Diablo?
