Kiz, Once I found out Bun E. had jumped the gun, I thought about just taking it down. The ONLY reason I didn't was so you could comment! You never disappoint! š¤£

Bun E. Carlos posted on Facebook that Pete Comita has passed, turns out he just has a āBustedā hip. Apologies for the false alarm.

Charlie Starr checking out Carondelet dogear P90
Hamerica replied to stonge's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
IFYKYK Good Lord this pickup is incredible. I saw the video with Charlie Starr originally on Facebook and thought hmmmmm I wonder. Thanks Jeff and Carondelet for the extremely quick turnaround and fast service. I was wondering about that "Hogear thang"...oh, and that pickup can get pretty ornery when applied with the proper amperage - Just Killer! Hamerica -

The Mesquite Amigos Guitar Show this year had our own @Willie G. Moseley, autographing his Robin Guitars book. It had been a moment since I was able to visit personally with Willie, so I was not going to pass up the opportunity to see him and have him sign a few books. @currypowder and his friend Paul from Chicago were there. It's always good to see the HFC in attendance at a show. Greg also posses a unique insight to the Japanese guitar offerings and it's just a pleasure to speak with him. Plus, I covet his Shishkov - so there's that. @Dana_V was there with Allie. On Sunday, Dana was able to swing by on his way out of town. This is no small feat in itself as he is always rushing back to Austin to play at gig with his band SUIT or has other projects that require his attention. Thanks again for the hang and my sense of awareness was not prevalent as I asked him if he happen to like Kings X...he stealthy pointed to his Kings X jacket....lmao. Just a great visit, thank you sir! I was hoping to see @shankyboy however, he had other plans.... I gotta find a weekend where SUIT is playing one night, the Chuck Zigler Band is playing another and Van Wilks is playing the third so I can hit the trifecta in Austin. It's just too hard to drive back at night after attending a concert and "getting your bar exam" in one day. Speaking of people, I also didn't hear from @greenfreak, pretty sure he told me he couldn't make this show. On the Hamers at the show, I actually saw quite a few there. Tulsa House of Guitars had a 90's P90 Special that I think was $1,100 tagged and it was gone when I went back to show someone. The Hamer Standard at Diablo Guitars was #0100 which I am personally familiar with. A fine example of an early Bound & Crowned Standard. The Four Digit Bass at Far West Guitars was on display. I'm kinda surprised this one is still available. There was a KK Downing Flying Vee at Zoo Music from Garland asking 5K which had been significantly played and that explains that one. Also, in the carpeted room there was what I believe was a Hamer T62 in a nicely faded white towards cream. I didn't pick it up as my doctor recently advised me it is in my health's best interest to cure my GAS. My wife was not amused the week before as I transported a Hamer BCR Junior in TV Yellow and Newport Birdseye 12'ver to the Greater Southwest Korina Forest. That was the longest 22 hour drive with someone who said less than four words.....I'm pretty sure one word started with MF, and it wasn't Musician's Friend. I'm okay, no Hamers were injured in the process. She's almost back to calling me by my name...almost. Hamerica

Here we have Vintage Guitar Guides and Vintage Guitar Guys...our own Willie G. Moseley and Ram Tuli from VG displaying a couple of their current offerings at the Mesquite Amigos Guitar Show this past weekend. I didn't get a picture of me and Willie this past weekend, however, I was able to purchase a few of his book offerings; "Thunder Out of Texas" - The Illustrated History of Robin Guitars and a hard cover of the Atlanta Rhythm Section for Mrs. Hamerica. Willie informed me he still has a few books left from the Mesquite show he can personally autograph. Reach out directly to Willie for pricing, shipping and other information. Great book! Check out Page 41, you might recognize the name of a Hamer Fan Club Member. His submission is pretty much "Standard" for any guitar collector book. Willie, always great to see you my friend! Hope you enjoyed the Mesquite show, Tejas hospitality and thanks for sharing a few laughs. Hope to see you in Nashville next spring or somewhere down the road. Photo courtesy of Vintage Guitar

While Iām a fan of Living Colour I was not a fan boi per se. This 1993 album went back in rotation this past week. It is Deep, dark, pessimistic, and heavy. I still personally believe Living Colour is one of the greatest underrated bands ever. The lyrics, theme, and LCās ability to move and blend genres is mind blowing. Vernon Reid has become more out spoken in the social political issues but then again maybe he always has been and I really wasnāt listening. Stain is worth a revisit in your rotation in 2021 if your in to the heavier side of Rock. Hamerica

Very sorry to hear this news. Annette was the person who arranged my visits to Arlington Heights. Annette was the person who showed me all the swag including the "Hamerica" jacket. She would hand me off to Kevin for the quick shop tour. For me it was like being at the "Wonka" Factory. I am very, very sorry to hear this news. To Annette's family and friends, Frank and the entire Hamer family, my thoughts, condolences and prayers go out to you. I still wear the jacket when we see performances by artists from the Hamer Racing Team. now it will just have a very additional special meaning. Best wishes, Hamerica

To Team Shishkov, Very Exciting! That fret board shot is killer and congrats to all of those that have their CO's in. If the Ultimates were the Appetizer, I can't wait for the main course! Dayum! Hamerica -
