      Sorry I haven't been here in awhile. 

      I never got a chance to try the first board, mine was dead when it arrived.   Bad Cat does the new board replacement for free.  One of the main issues it corrects is that if you hook up the wires wrong that you won't burn out the whole unit.  Sorry I can't help you more.  The owner at Bad Cat is a really cool guy.  Call him and discuss it with him.
