SAHB are arguably the GREATEST live band ever. Very eclectic stuff but if you get it you get it. They were very funny and strange with a handful of GREAT songs. Pity there isn't more live footage. There are 6 or 7 things on YouTube but that's about it. Check out "Giddy Up A Ding Dong".

I'd PLAY that Cruise Bass. Hamers are meant to be played.

I had a Blitz Bass in that color but the finish had become brittle and the finish was flaking off in little bits. Every time I played it I'd be covered in specks of blue. I wish I still had it as it had a unique neck profile, similar to an early Fender style 'U' neck. I think I paid $350 for that bass. Vintage Bass prices lagged vintage guitar prices. NEVER sell a vintage USA made instrument .

Maybe it's time I started storing my guitars in a locked vault.

Those of us who bought Hamer USA Basses for $350 to $550 for years have a tough time ponying up that kind of cash. Yeah, I know times have changed. I get the impression the long time posters on the Hamer Fan Club have backed away from buying at these levels. Two grand for a Blitz Bass is STUPID.

LOVE that Blitz Bass. I will pounce on it when it's 75% off. God bless you GC.
