  1. I have an issue with fed ex right now. I bought a Peavey XXX combo a month ago and it showed up and two screws were sticking out of the tolex and the two corners were totally smashed in. This was in the original Peavey box with all original shipping materials. They denied my claim and stated there was NO damage to the amp. I had this SAME problem last year. I shipped a cheapo Ibanez 12 string acoustic brand new, and it arrived DESTROYED, a gigantic hole in the case and in the wood of the guitar at the waist, the hole was literally about 8 inches across and the entire depth of the guitar. They denied the claim returned the item and said it wasnt damaged. I have had it with fed ex...
  2. I owned a custom 22 for a while. I loved it at first, but the longer I had it, the worse I thought it sounded, and the worse I thought it played. I think I was more in love with the guitars looks than anything. I now own 3 Hamer (soon to be 4) two G&L's and an ESP. This is a personal choice, but I will never let the beauty of a PRS seduce me again:) On the positive side that guitar held its value. I paid 2900 for it and sold it for 2850. I can't think of any guitar that I have ever owned, that held its value like that.
  3. Well, I just talked to Frank, and its all gonna be good. So it is no longer for sale. Thanks for the interest. I will leave the photos up for anyone that wants to see. I dont know what they are gonna do with this guitar. Thats one of the reasons I was going to keep it initially. I would assume that they will either sell it to another dealer, or keep it for employee's or something. Thanks guys.
  4. Thanks, I appreciate that. I hope it all goes well too.
  5. I slept on it one night already. I was a fan of crown inlays myself. In fact when I got my first quote for the guitar I got it quoted with crowns (I am thinking now that might be where this stems from) I was told, first it could be done, then I was told to call frank, where I was told that Hamer would never offer crowns on talladegas...I dont know why, they wouldnt elaborate, so I opted for the 10 Victory. I have 4 other hamers all with 10 victory, and I really like the idea of a continuing theme throughout my guitars. I in no way think crown inlays suck. I think I am going to decide what to do tomorrow. You never know how anyone is going to react to a problem. I may be told that I can't get a new one. My store does not STOCK hamers, though we are a dealer. I was told when I ordered it that I had to pay in full up front and that returns were NOT an option. So I only have a few options. Hamer is totally cool about it and fixes the problem without issue. I sell the guitar and order the guitar I wanted to start, and finally I could keep the guitar. Keeping the guitar is VERY far down on my list on my list right now. I am hoping tomorrow goes awesome and frank is totally amazing like usual. You just never can be sure. If tomorrow goes poorly you can expect this to be on here and ebay until it sells.
  6. Well, not really. I have been expecting something else for the last 5 months. So it was a bit a of bad life moment to open the case and not have what I was expecting. At first I wrote it off as a cool thing, as it might be the first and only Crown inlayed Talladega, but the more I thought about it, the more I thought I shouldn't be paying 2800 dollars for something that wasn't exactly the way I ordered it. This is my employee price. I don't feel bad selling this guitar at all on here. This is an amazing price for a new tally. Let alone a custom one off. Its not cost, they mark it up for employees. Its still a FAR better deal than what anyone would pay for this particular guitar. Its an awesome playing and sounding guitar, and it may be vane to send it back for inlays. Its just SOOO much money for it to not be spot on. I hardly expect it to sell here in a day or two. I just thought I could cut the time down, and if I sold it and ordered a new one, it would save frank and that small hamer crew alot of work. I dont know what they would do with this guitar. Keep it, loan it to artists, sell it to another dealer. I have no idea. They wont have to deal with any of that if it sells. I can just place a new PO for the correct guitar.
