  1. i have a couple pedals on the floor at all times but i don't really find myself using them as much as i thought i would. i use delay and wah the most out of all of them. flanger just ends up being a noise making tool
  2. wasn't this the song that got western music banned in some middle eastern nation? Iran?
  3. Head Automatica is a really cool dancey/rock band with the singer and drummer from Glassjaw and some other guys. really fun, raunchy sound. also Punch People from New Orleans, who do alot of jazz-influenced hard rock, record, distribute and manage themselves independently. Alien Ant Farm is another band i'm sure you've all heard of but gets a ton of flak because of their first singles and 'chick band' image. seriously talented, seriously nice guys. seen them twice now, going again in October. these guys love tiny venues and hanging out after shows Kaki King!!! saw her in SF with some friends and fellow HFCer Zipperneck. one of the best, most inspiring shows i've ever been to. immediately became one of my top 5 guitarists. cute too
  4. i couldnt believe Incubus and Foo Fighters were nowhere to be found on the RIAA thing. everyone i know has Colour and the Shape in their CD wallet. i can't believe Soundgarden could outsell Foo Fighters. Beastie Boys higher than RCHP?
  5. haha yeah sorry i was thinking in terms of success, not so much the US part of the equation
  6. +1 for the Cars in defense of the Eagles and their break up, they did come back with, IMO, their best album. Hell Freezes Over is classic and yeah, Skynyrd is one dimensional, but they've managed to sail a long damn way on one dimension. what about Creedence? The Police? U2?
  7. sounds like an Ibanez Artist Professional. 2617 or Bob Weir would fit that, but no middle SC.
  8. honestly, i'm sick of everybody thinking they have to compare Hamers to everything else. we all love Hamers, that's why we're here. however, PRS and Hamer are two different animals. Hamers and Les Pauls are apples and oranges as well. let's take a studio and a mccarty, different scale lengths, weights, neck joints, bridges, etc. one isnt better than the other, they're just different. a Studio or Monaco will never sound JUST like a Les Paul, because they aren't Les Pauls. some people like one more than the other. big deal. they're all great guitars. a Hamer will never sound like a PRS or a Les Paul or a Quicksilver or a _____, but that's why i like 'em. i like what it does for me and i would not change it at all. why not just get a couple of each?
