RacerX Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Hi Gang, I'm trying to warm up the bridge position in a bright LP. I removed the original Burstbucker2 and tried an older Duncan 59 (the old ones sound better LOL!) which was a little better, then one of my super early Dimarzio paf's which was better still but not hot enough. I currently have a Duncan Custom in there and it's great output wise, but I'm thinking a custom/custom will be warmer. I'd like one with a cover, or zebra, but no logos. Scuffy/worn is ok too, better in fact, since this guitar had been aged and a minty pup would look silly. Whatcha got in the bottom of the drawer? Thanks!Mark
RacerX Posted April 24, 2006 Author Posted April 24, 2006 Come on doooods, I would really rather do a happy deal here instead of turning to the darkside. I seem to remember reading lots of posts about folks pulling the stock pups out. Where did all the Custom/customs go??? Our pal Nuclear Wessel is lookin' too A couple bright guitars need your help....Thanks!Mark.
kizanski Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 I have one with a chrome cover, although I'm not sure if it's a C5 or a CC.I'll have to check tonight. If it's what you want, you're welcome to it.
anotherfreak2 Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 I didn't chime in, but I stock black ones and nickel ones. They are new, if I had any used ones I'd have them in something. I love them!if new is an option give me a call!
RacerX Posted April 25, 2006 Author Posted April 25, 2006 Kiz, sounds good, let me know what it turns out to be...Freak, I want to try and find a used one first to match the aged look of the guitar. (plus who the hell knows if a C/C will be the ticket? LOL!) I can get new ones from SD too, but I DO appreciate the offer. Thanks guys,Mark.
kizanski Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Ok, it's a Custom Custom (SH-11). 4 conductor with a chrome cover and about 12" of lead.Looks brand new.$45 shipped?
