Dutchman Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 I bought this a couple of weeks ago and initially was going to not use it as it would not play with my Xotic Wah. It would start screaming the dieing speaker scream right at 8k. No matter how I put things in the chain to my board it screamed. So I took the Wah out and beautiful perfect volume swells! Just sounded great! I got in touch with Jon in Germany and he suggested all of the things I had already tried. But he was trying to figure it out too so kudos for that! I went 100% discrete power supply for both units and poof no more 8k squeal!!! I also put the Wah ahead of the Lehle pedal. I think there was some buffering causing the squeeling but not 100% sure. I am happy to report that the Lehle Volume pedal is the best Volume pedal I have ever used. Dialed back there is no change in tone. This is huge!! So when I switch guitars I just adjust the pedal to where I need to be. It was a struggle worth the time and effort and I gotta say the Lehle is da bomb!!!
JPDIII Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 Which volume? They make a Mono Volume S and a Mono Volume, among others.

JPDIII Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 Nice. They're now making a compact model the (S) but I think I'd just get what you have-it would fit the foot better I suspect. Thanks for this update-I didn't even know about these. Volume swells from the guitar are sometimes imperfect. This may be the answer. Pete Davis
soli'd Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 I've had both versions- the Mono Volume S is currently on my board. The S version (besides being about 30% smaller) also has a few presets with different gain ranges, and a boost can be applied with an extra toe push. It's best in class for my uses; I have it after all gain pedals but before time-based fx, it allows me to leash in upstream fuzz pedals and the like (I just use the gtr volume to vary levels of input gain to the fuzzes/drives), and allows for swells into delays/reverbs, etc...
JPDIII Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 What's a good power supply for this volume pedal?
soli'd Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Anything 9-15 Vdc (polarity doesn't matter).
JPDIII Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Thanks for this. I bought the mono version, not the 90, absolutely perfect and the clean boost is a nice added feature. Much appreciated. Pete Davis in VA.
