Jimbilly Posted May 5 Posted May 5 I was participating in an event on Friday evening, with my '89 Chaparral 5. A guy comes up after "I gotta check out your Hamer!" or somethng like that and introduced himself. Super cool nice guy, he played a Blitz bass way back when, still has one of the two he owned back then. 4 Quote
diablo175 Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Loved Metal Church's first album!!! Still play that when I want to get into a certain mindset or head space during a workout. They moved up fro SF to Aberdeen WA. which was more or less in the vicinity of Seattle. My originals band came close to opening up for them in the early 90's at a joint called Pulsations. 6 Quote

Not sure, he was the original bassist through '91 ish as I understand it. He was also an early adopter of the 2tek, and I think ended up favoring the MIJ P/J with a 2 tek. Diablo175: I think they were originally from Aberdeen/Hoquiam WA (Nirvana/Kurt is from there too), went to SF, and then back to that Aberdeen Hoquiam (Ho - qwee - um ) area again, which is about an hour and half from where I live now, which is pretty near where Duke lives now too. 1 Quote

IIRC this was the 1st major release produced by the great Terry Date. Not crazy about the singer, but this tune is metal as EFF, esp when the riff kicks in at 1:05; Edited Friday at 12:47 PM by Brooks 1 Quote
