LucSulla Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 (edited) Price - Sold! The deets (from my Reverb ad, so it's a little used carish): I bought this last Christmas for myself because, well, Jackson V's look super rad. I bought this one new, and I have gigged it a tad. Sounds great and plays great. I've found that, for me personally, I don't much get along with the painted neck on it though. Given how easily these things get dinged up, I've decided perhaps to just move it down the road before one of the points takes another hit. I just put a tiny ding in in the rear of the upper point about the size of the ball in a ball point pen while taking pictures for this ad. (Please see pictures.) Yes, I said things that would make a sailor blush because, up until that point, this thing was pretty much mint. It has little if any pic swirling even. Frikin' Murphy's Law, man! It's still in fantastic cosmetic shape overall though. I've owned an older RR5 from the early 2000s, and to me, these newer MJs are better built guitars. I think the finish work is better, which makes sense, as those RR5s weren't meant to be as upline as the newer MJs I believe. The frets have no wear, and the the ebony board is super dark. The only issue with the guitar mechanically or electronically is that the toggle switch is a bit finicky. Sometimes when you switch, the you get silence. It came to me that way, and it hasn't bothered me quite enough to put a new switch in. Usually I just have to flick it back and forth a few times before a show, and I that's pretty much that. I've played this thing for some 3-hour concerts too. It's a 10 dollar part and a 10 minute soldering job, but it never got annoying enough to sit down and do it. I'll include the new switch I bought in the case though. And yes, the Jackson foam core case is included!
