santellavision Posted January 17 Posted January 17 (edited) Fargen Mini-Plex Mk I The Mini-plex is one of the best, lower wattage Plexi style amps ever. 3-way voicing switch for 60/70/80 tones. ½ power switch. If you do some research, many consider, tone-wise, the Mk I version to be the best of the 3 Fargen Mini-plex versions (MkI, MkII & MkIII) Maybe because of its simple, no frills, all tone design. After reading a ton about tube choices and what works best in this amp, I followed the recommendations exactly and found and installed the exact mentioned tubes. All new or NOS. The amp is cathode-bias, so you don’t have to re-bias it when changing tubes. It can run on just about any big bottle tubes you want. Mix and match 6L6, EL34, KT66 etc. Currently Installed: - Sylvania 12AX7 - Ruby 12AX7-HG - Valve Arts KT66 - JJ 6L6 The amp is very clean and in great condition. Works perfectly, no issues. Kept in non-smoking home. Head only, no speaker cab included. $1,250. Shipped/PP F&F Not interested in any trades on this one.
