bruce919 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) I owned the only 2x12 combo for many years. It a JMP with a lot of tweaking options and built in reverb. PRS should make this a standard amp model. Went to the PRS open house in 2010. Most the recording amps made were all lined up in an open area of the factory. Good luck on your search Edited March 5 by bruce919 1 1 Quote
Menehune Posted March 5 Author Posted March 5 @bruce919, what was the speaker set in your amp? I ask because I've read how particular Paul and Doug were in choosing the transformers and capacitors and valves in for these amps, and expect that obsession extended to speakers. Quote

It came with China made Vintage 30s. I put a set of UK made Celestion/Marshall Heritage speakers. These were stock in TSL and some of the JCM600 series amps. I preferred the tone on these speakers over the 30's and had them in my Soldano at the time as well. A real sleeper speaker is a G12S-50. To me those have that Greenback tone without the high treble at higher volumes. These were made in the late 80's early 90's. 2 1 Quote
