Question

What case does the first Steve Stevens model use, like a Les Paul style?
Is there a specific TKL model?  Mine came with a 3rd party case that has seen better days.
Any other ones folks like and fit well?

I just checked: my 87 SS1 custom fits perfectly in:  early 80s Special case, late 2000s Studio custom case, and regular Gibson Les Paul case.

The SS2 and SS0 (proto) do not fit in these cases, which is why mine are forced to live in soft cases.

There was a thread here, maybe 2 years ago, about TKL cases at pretty good prices. Factory direct or something like that. Seems like it covered all the different sizes. No Hamer logo, but that's just a stencil and spray can fix. I bet one of you younger wiser guys remember it and remember more about it than I do.

Just checked and it might be Case & Bag Depot | Reverb

Thanks! Appreciate it!

just to be overly clear to avoid any confusion: the one in the middle fits in the Les Paul or studio or special cases

Thanks, that's exactly what I have.  Don't have a full Steve Stevens lineup, though, cool!

I've got a Kramer Pacer too, apparently SS played one of those quite a bit early on.  - I have a regular Centaura (part of the SS evolution I understand), I just need a dual hum Centaura to complete the collection and timeline!   I brought the SS2 to play at a memorial the other day (I played it quite a bit in the band with the person who was being memorialized), two of the guys wanted to buy it from me. Even though it is a bit relic'd, it is finally getting some of the love it deserves.

I'm really not a SS 'superfan' (although I can listen to Rebel Yell endlessly), these just kind of found their way to me.
