Mobster I will go along with everyone else and say that you have a very nice Hamer family there! And I, too, am having a little difficulty controling the drooling on my keyboard...hehe.

Forgive my nievity, but I was taught that the dumbest question is the one that doesn't get asked, and since I have been out of the electric guitar playing role for a while I was curious about the two toggle switches by your volume/tone knobs on the red standard:

What do they do for you? Are they like inidividual tone selectors for each pickup?

Awesome collection!

Sustainiac, baby! One switch powers the neck pickup sustainer (like an E-bow).

I believe the second switch is for shooting roman candles off the back of the headstock. Hamer really fought THAT mod, but Mobbie is a persistent Fv><#r!!!

Yeah, that Roman Candle mod was a pain--Hamer said they would only do it for Jeff Watson and his Flying "W"-so I begged, and pleaded, and......

Actually, the first switch turns the sustainiac on and off. The second switch is a 3 way and controls the sustain-1 position sustains the fundamental, another sustains the harmonic, and the middle position mixes the 2.

The last knob controls the intensity of the sustain in the fundamental and mix positions.

When playing, if you switch the sustainiac on, whatever pickup selection you have set is overidden and it defaults to the sustainiac and the Bridge pickup. So if you are playing with the neck pickup, and you flip on the sustainiac, you get the Bridge and sustainiac without touching the pickup selector toggle. It's pretty easy to use once you get used to it.

Hey Mobbie, was the first fret crown on the red standard a custom option as well? It's kind of disorienting in the pic next to the blue one. Way cool collection, if I was right handed I'd be very jealous.

They asked if I wanted one, so I said sure, throw it on there.

Sounds intriguing...I'd like to hear the sounds. Maybe there will be one at the Dallas Guitar Show and I will have a chance to hear it.
