  1. I'll PDF my settings and shoot them over. It may be a good starting point for you.
  2. Glad I didn't steer you wrong and you enjoy the amp-feel free to give me a call anytime with Boogie amp questions, bro. Can't wait to hear you got into the cabinet switching....
  3. My condolences to you and your family, Frank.
  4. Get another one, wimpy. Run a micro stereo rig. Gonna spec out that Mel for you, Elduave. I hope Gerard has a good sense of adventure.
  5. Sorry for your loss. Things like this are never easy. My condolences to you and your family.
  6. hell yeah! i love ozric's "jurrasic shift" (bought a few more discs after that didn't do it for me). i wore out kraftwork's "computer world" tape during my brief punk/new wave phase in jr high. i want to like DT, they're great players, but they make rush sound soulful . as stike would say, their sound has "no ass init". Brooks, since you like OT and Kraftwerk, while I'm making my stuff for Chris and Dan, It's no problem for me to make a 3rd copy for you. I'll have it done today. You may dig it.
  7. Well heck, while we're on a prog rock kick, I may as well get out my Ozric Tentacles and Kraftwerk discs again!
  8. Never heard any of those, but I really enjoy the Jelly Jam, particularly the 2nd album. Can't say the same for DT. They just haven't latched onto my pleasure centers. Knowing the music you seem to be into, I'm not sure if Chromakey or OSI would be your thing. Chromakey is Kevin Moore's project (with Jim Matheos), and it's out there. Far out there. A lot of it is very atmospheric, soundtrack type stuff. Think "Space Dye Vest" on steroids. OSI is also a project with Kevin Moore and Jim Matheos, with Mike Portnoy on drums. A lot heavier than Chromakey. I try to stay away from the political leanings the lyrics seem to have-but I really dig the stuff. I'll make you another care package for the hell of it.
  9. Dan, do you listen to any of the Chromakey, OSI, or Platypus stuff?
  10. we'll have to compare setlists. I'd tell you what the Vegas show was, but I don't want to ruin it for you. Give me a call over the weekend anytime.
  11. In that price range it's hard to beat a Nik Huber, or a Roger Giffin IMO. Roger Giffin Guitars Nik Huber Guitars And Uptown strings was one of the stores I was referring to. They have nothing to do with Ed Roman. BTW-have you considered some of the really nice high end Hamers that have been built lately? Check out the Hamer Gallery on the Hamer Guitars site...
  12. They are not Ed Roman's. He just sells them. And he's not the only dealer who does. There are 2 other high end dealers that also stock these, but Ed sells more than anyone else. They are great high end guitars. But once you get into that 3-5K selling price for guitars there are quite a few great ones out there to compare to one another. Jet Guitars Webpage
  13. These new ones are really good. Mike_C and JackButler heard it over the phone...sounds really cool!
  14. They asked if I wanted one, so I said sure, throw it on there.
  15. Yeah, that Roman Candle mod was a pain--Hamer said they would only do it for Jeff Watson and his Flying "W"-so I begged, and pleaded, and...... Actually, the first switch turns the sustainiac on and off. The second switch is a 3 way and controls the sustain-1 position sustains the fundamental, another sustains the harmonic, and the middle position mixes the 2. The last knob controls the intensity of the sustain in the fundamental and mix positions. When playing, if you switch the sustainiac on, whatever pickup selection you have set is overidden and it defaults to the sustainiac and the Bridge pickup. So if you are playing with the neck pickup, and you flip on the sustainiac, you get the Bridge and sustainiac without touching the pickup selector toggle. It's pretty easy to use once you get used to it.
  16. Thanks-I'm going to try and take some pictures of all of the guitars this weekend. That Purple guitar is just a Custom Singlecut. The body is actually a singlecut Watson (same fully blended neck joint and belly cut in the back), but it's got a 24.75 scale 24 fret neck. It's not really a "model." I think one with the Scarab cutout was made for Steve Brown, and 2 (maybe 3) were made for Mark Younger Smith, and one was made for Jack. Jack's was the only Flametop one. Steve's was quilted in Salmon Blush, and Mark's were White and Black sparkle. I also have heard from Jack that he knew of another white one out there. Chris Matthes tells me there might be a 4 string bass version out there as well. Glen Cambell's 12 string is NOT the same body style-that's more of a TLE variant.
  17. It's tough to get them out of the picture when they are running all over the place.
  18. Ebay, Lou...I think there are a bunch of dealers that get those things from some factory in the deep dark recesses of asia or something. I got 12 of those crummy black stands for like 3 bucks apiece. They are kind of crappy, but for taking photos and just storing some guitars in the house (i.e. I wouldn't EVER trust these on a gig) they are fine. Great for taking photos of a bunch of guitars.
  19. Flat out custom, Scottcrud. 1 of about 4. It's a 1995 model. Nothing like a Monaco. One of the coolest Hamers ever, IMO.
  20. Here you go, the two Standards: I was feeling a little patriotic today: That's a setneck Cali custom in Pearl White: Some extras:
  21. As I said earlier today, very cool Lou. Enjoy it, and let me know if it isn't everything I told you it would be! Welcome to the club...
  22. Yeah they're surprisingly nice considering they're imports. Yeah, Koria is making some nice stuff nowadays. I had to read that sentence twice to be sure I got it correct.
