HamerHokie Posted Tuesday at 07:48 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:48 PM I've been using a Suhr Thornbucker in the bridge position of one of my Studio Customs for a couple of years. Great midrange and top end response. But one of the coils went open circuit on me recently. I reached out to Suhr and their price for rewinding services is $35 plus shipping. What a bargain! 1 2 Quote
velorush Posted yesterday at 12:51 PM Posted yesterday at 12:51 PM This must be a new development because I somehow clumsily ripped through the windings on an ML Standard and asked if it could be rewound. They told me they didn't do that - was about fifteen years ago. Unlike my normal MO, I am sure I threw the pickup away (I normally keep everything, just in case, you know?). As you said, a great bargain and great to know for my future clumsy operations. Quote
bruce919 Posted yesterday at 01:23 PM Posted yesterday at 01:23 PM Time you pay shipping back & forth, you may be able to find another pickup. Quote
velorush Posted yesterday at 02:48 PM Posted yesterday at 02:48 PM At the time the ML Standard was over $100 a pop. A $35 rewind would have been a bargain even with shipping tacked on. 1 Quote
