mc2 Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 How's the build quality and sounds on these things? What's the neck feel/profile like?Is the headstock face like a regular solid-body Hamer or something more traditional/jazzlike?YOUR PM email is DEAD and bounces back. Email me.
Camstone Posted May 25, 2006 Author Posted May 25, 2006 Hi Mc2,I don't know why my PM wouldn't be working , but the build quality is as good as any of the imports. I don't really have any other hamer imoprts to compare it to. It has one of those old style tune-o-matic bridges with the wire saddle retainer that sometimes rattles on certain pitches. The headstock is like a regular usa Hamer. It has a good jazz sound, the pickups are not very high output, which gives it kind of a cool sound when you play it through an overdriven amp.The neck shape would compare to what USA Hamers call a modern carve. The guitar is extra clean. I bought it on ebay for $500 about two years ago from an older gentleman that said he bought it but never learned how to play it. It still had the clear stickers on the pickups and pickguard.
