Worth every penny. But the seller will never see that much.

I've never seen a Mirage of any kind go for anywhere near that. A II recently went for $1000 even, IIRC, and I've seen a couple Is go in the $1100 range, but I've never seen a maple top break $900.

A little off topic, but I have a Mirage Maple Top (amber) Great guitar! The bridge has picked up some rust. Can I still get the same bridge from Wilkinson for it? I know some people are into the relic'd look, but I don't really want it for my guitar. I need new nickel pickup covers also, but getting those are easy.

Yeah, the bridge on my Mirage I is looking pretty "relic'd" as well.

I replaced the bridge on my first Mirage I with one of the new Wilkys and it was a drop in replacement. The only difference is the bridge says wilkinson on it and the old ones didn't.

Is it just the vintage trem from Wilkinson or does it have a different model name?

The model is VSV-G (G for Gotoh, I think, who makes them now). They will drop in.

There are a couple differences - the bar diameter is different (the new bars are bigger and won't fit in the old blocks), and the block height is different. The originals came in at least two block heights, a short one (used on Daytonas) and a taller one (used on Mirages). The new ones have a block roughly halfway in-between the two old sizes.

I don't know but suspect the screws might be different too - the originals used SAE screws and I bet the new ones are metric (the new bar is a metric diameter, I think).

Most maple tops came with a chrome baseplate. Most koas (and most Daytonas) had nickel baseplates. They all had nickel saddles, though.
